It’s time to spur on your inner cowboy, or cowgirl and go wild at the third annual Pemberton Country Jamboree, a three-day event from July 25 to 27 at Pemberton Stables.

The family event will feature 4H exhibits, riding events, country music and poetry by Canada’s famous cowboy poet, Mike Puhallo.

On Saturday, July 26 there will be the biggest barn dance in Sea to Sky country, where you can two-step to the swinging sounds of The Shark Bites under the Copperdome Roothouse from dusk ‘til dawn.

There will be races, games and an animal exhibit to entertain the kids, while those of age can kick back and enjoy the company of friends in the beer garden.

Find out who will be the first to gallop into Pemberton Stables with a cup of coffee in one had and reins in the other to win the Pony Espresso ride.

Daily tickets for the jamboree can be purchased from the Pemberton Stables. They are $5 for adults and $2 for children. Barn Dance tickets are $20 and are available in Pemberton at Paperworks, Pemberton Valley Supermarket and The Royal Canadian Legion. In Whistler, tickets are available at the offices of The Whistler Question.
