Applications are still open for Power Pitch presented by the Whistler Film Festival (WFF), which offers applicants a chance to refine their projects and compete to win a $36,000 prize.

Power Pitch is described as "an intensive pitch training workshop and competition for Canadian producers with feature projects in development and an unprecedented opportunity for Canadian producers to pitch their projects to some of the top sales agents, broadcasters and distributors in the industry."

A maximum of ten finalists, including one wild card entrant from the WFF Producer's Lab, will pitch their film or project (in six minutes or less) to three senior executives from reputable broadcasters, distributors or sales companies. This jury will provide feedback and determine a winner.

Said winner will be announced during this year's WFF on Nov. 30, receiving a $25,000 production credit from Company 3 Method Ltd., a $10,000 lighting and grip production credit, and $1,000 in cash from William F. White. The winner will also get to speak with the executives to receive more extensive feedback and build industry relationships.

All Power Pitch participants will receive a Festival Industry Pass and be eligible for one-on-one meetings with industry experts attending WFF’s Content Summit to determine if there is any interest in developing their projects.

More information is available on the WFF website.
