The critically acclaimed Awfully Hilarious anthology series has released its second instalment.
Period Pieces is a collection of prose and poetry from 26 women and girls, many of whom are Sea to Sky-based writers getting candid about that ubiquitous "time of the month": from first period to menopause. Each work explores menstruation through feminine (but not always female) archetypal milestones experienced by women, aiming to elevate the conversation through true stories.
A public reading will take place on March 14 at 7 p.m. in the Whistler Public Library's Fireplace Lounge. More information is available online.
