Four individuals have been invited to partake in the upcoming World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF) Pro Photographer Showdown: Aaron Schwartz, Paris Gore, Zoya Lynch and Morgan Maassen.

Schwartz hails from Vancouver but lives in Switzerland at the moment. A press release describes his style as reflecting "a unique blend of documentary and fine art photography, focusing on the human connection to rugged landscapes."

Gore is based in Bellingham, Wash. He is an award-winning talent lauded for dynamic shots of mountain biking and outdoor activity.

Revelstoke's Lynch frequently presents themes of environmentalism, mountain life and community in her portfolio.

Morgan, out of Santa Barbara, Calif., has collaborated with iconic brands like Apple, National Geographic and Patagonia.

"The Pro Photographer Showdown has always been a cornerstone of the World Ski and Snowboard Festival, celebrating the incredible talent and creativity of the action sports world,” says festival director Brittia Thompson in a release. "This year, we’re thrilled to welcome a truly world-class lineup of photographers whose work will inspire, captivate, and remind us of the powerful stories that can unfold in front of a lens.

"Hosting this level of talent is a privilege, and we couldn’t be more excited to share their breathtaking visuals with our audience."

Angela Percival, Scott Serfas, Blake Jorgenson, Robin O'Neill and Abby Cooper form the judges' panel, with Katie Burrell slated to host the Showdown. New for 2025: prize money will be divided equally among all invited participants.

The overall winner will receive a featured spread in the Sept. 2025 issue of Forecast Ski Magazine, premium Arc'teryx gear and the Pro Photographer Showdown trophy.
