BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler are prepping extra transit service in Whistler for one of the resort's biggest events next week: Red Bull Joyride.

According to a release on Aug. 11, there will be extra transit service on Saturday, Aug. 16 between Creekside and Whistler Village from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., "to help you get to/from Joyride in Whistler Village."

"This additional service will help with anticipated large passenger volumes and provide better transportation options for residents and visitors," the release said. "Customers should factor in some additional travel time due to traffic."
