Creekside lifestyle and design store 122 West is launching a workshop series this fall designed to bring Whistler locals and visitors together to learn something new and connect over wine and cheese.

“Created to foster inspiration, the 122 West Workshop Series will provide a unique chance to learn something new in the company of friends, old and new. Each instalment, hosted by a diverse range of experts, promises an evening filled with creativity, wine and cheese, and the opportunity to elevate not only our homes but also our lives,” read a release Friday, Sept. 8.

A passion project for store owner Adele Horn, the series is intended to draw from the deep well of knowledge and expertise on display inn Whistler.

“Our new Creekside location and workshop space provide the perfect backdrop for bringing people together in an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Our community is teeming with individuals with unique insights to share. The workshop series serves as a casual platform for us all to learn and connect,” Horn said in the release.

First up, on Tuesday, Sept. 26, is Cultivating Organization: The Experience of Being Organized, led by Hailey Guille of Perfect Fit Strategies, who will help attendees “uncover the barriers that inhibit us, learn the one fundamental piece to being organized, and by the end of the session, leave with a refreshed mindset combined with some tools for new access to begin cultivating organization where you live, work, and play,” the release stated.
The workshop is free, and runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Then, on Wednesday, Oct. 25, Carleigh Hofman from Rennie & Associates hosts Styling Your Home for a Lasting Impression, a workshop that will share “the art of crafting alluring spaces that resonate with potential buyers,” the release explained. “From optimizing spatial dimensions to harnessing natural light, participants will acquire invaluable insights to stage their homes for maximum impact, whether they’re aiming to sell or simply enhance their living environment.”

This workshop is also free, and runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, Amy Mac from Picnic Whistler leads The Art of Charcuterie, where she will help meat and cheese lovers master the skills of creating visually stunning charcuterie boards.

“Discover the principles of balance, colour coordination, and arrangement to transform carefully chosen ingredients into edible works of art that are not only delicious but also beautiful,” the release said.

The workshop costs $40 and includes a charcuterie, wine and cheese reception, a lesson, and a personally designed charcuterie board from 122 West for attendees to take home. It runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
