An employee at a Whistler grocery store has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the company.
Loblaw posted a notice to its corporate website that a team member at Sewak's Your Independent Grocer in Rainbow has tested positive for a presumptive COVID test. The last day the employee worked at the store was Jan. 15.
According to the most recent data from the BC Centre for Disease Control, for the period between Jan. 3 and 9, the Howe Sound region had 14 new COVID-19 cases reported. The Howe Sound health region comprises Whistler, Pemberton, Squamish, Lion's Bay and parts of the southern Stl’atl’imx Nation.
