Past late fees will be forgiven by the PDPL.

This summer, the Pemberton & District Public Library (PDPL) cannot be contained to the Community Centre.

On July 4, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the PDPL is packing up its perks and heading out to Tsípun Supermarket for a pop-up event designed to make it easier than ever to connect with all things literary, digital and free.

Whether you’re a seasoned borrower or haven’t held a library card since elementary school, the pop-up is open to all.

New to the library? Bring your photo ID and sign up for a free library card on the spot. Already a member? You can return your books, borrow new ones or get help navigating the library’s ever-growing collection of eBooks, audiobooks, and streaming services like Libby and Kanopy.

Families with young readers can also register for the Summer Reading Club, a free program for kids aged five to 12 that encourages summer fun through books, games and activities. Library staff will be on hand to explain more about the program.

The library team will also be able to offer tech help, answer questions and even forgive past fines. So, lost a DVD 20 years ago? Not a problem.

Visit the PDPL’s event on Facebook to learn more.
