Those looking for a workout (or just a place to cool down) in Whistler, take note: the Meadow Park Sports Centre is currently closed for annual maintenance.
The entire facility is closed now until Sept. 2. The pool area won't reopen until Sept. 17.
"We close the pool and Meadow Park Sports Centre facility each year for regular maintenance to keep it clean, safe, working properly and making sure it lasts for years to come," the Resort Municipality of Whistler said on its website.
"Maintenance items include painting all pool basins, refinishing changeroom floors, deep cleaning gym and studio areas; repairing sauna walls, tile, and grout; cleaning squash court walls and office carpets; and completing necessary painting and maintenance throughout. Pools will be refilled, heated, and rebalanced ready for your return."
In light of the closure, all valid passes will be extended for its duration (10 days), plus an additional two bonus days, for 12 days.
