Police are seeking the community's help to find Mount Currie woman Lara Williams, 42, who was reported missing on Aug. 7.

UPDATE: According to social media, Lara Williams, who was first reported missing Sunday, has been located, safe and sound. The original story follows. 

The Mount Currie Stl'atl'imx Tribal Police Service (STPS) is seeking the public's help in their search for a woman reported missing yesterday. 

According to police, 42-year-old Lara Williams was last seen leaving her Mount Currie, B.C. residence at around 8 p.m. last Wednesday, Aug. 3. She was reported missing on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 7. 

The STPS describes Williams as an Indigenous female with a heavy build, brown eyes and black wavy hair that she may be wearing in a bun. She was last seen wearing a dark blue rain jacket and black rain boots.

In a news release issued Monday afternoon, police said they and Williams' family are concerned for her well-being and have been actively searching for her.
