The Ted Nebbeling Bridge in Whistler Village is undergoing a few repairs this fall.

Planning on driving into the village tomorrow? Consider giving yourself a few extra minutes, if you're on a schedule.

In a tweet Wednesday, the Resort Municipality of Whistler issued a traffic notice for Village Gate Boulevard to inform residents about lane reductions on Thursday, Sept. 22. Drivers will be subject to single lane alternating traffic throughout the day in order to accommodate remediation work on the underside of the Ted Nebbeling Bridge, according to the municipality.

The maintenance work has already begun and is expected to continue until Oct. 21. Pedestrians will be directed around the construction site while work is underway.

The repairs include a replacement of the pedestrian bridge's expansion joint, pilaster repairs, fixing concrete spalling on the underside of the bridge, and repairing cracks in the deck.

"Thank you for your patience while we complete these essential repairs," the notice added.
