Take note, local artists with big dreams and small canvasses: submissions are now open for Whistler’s Teeny Tiny Art Show.

Arts Whistler’s annual exhibit asks local artists of all experience and abilities to submit their three-inch by three-inch or smaller artworks, which will be on display at the Maury Young Arts Centre from Aug. 30 to Sept. 30. Works can be made with and on virtually any material, as long as they fit the size criteria.

Open to Sea to Sky residents only, artists can submit a maximum of four pieces, with Arts Whistler committing to showcasing at least one of each artist’s works. If there isn’t enough display space, additional submissions will be stored and added to the exhibit as other works sell.

Artworks and a completed application form are due by Wednesday, Aug. 25. An application form must be filled out before the art is submitted.

Works should be dropped off at the Maury Young Arts Centre at 4335 Blackcomb Way in the village. Late submissions will not be accepted. Note that the centre may be closed on certain days for Art on the Lake, which is slated to run Aug. 10 and 11, weather permitting.

When dropping off your artwork, please write your full name and the title of the piece on the back of each submission and wrap your work in paper, or place it in a box or bag. If the piece is not on canvas, please ensure to add hanging hardware, or it will not be included in the show.

Personal banking information is also required for artists to receive payment if their work sells.

Also, save the date for Arts Whistler’s Teeny Tiny Art Party on Sept. 21.
