Residents are asked to donate used fiction and non-fiction books to the Library between July 2 and 8.

Whether you’re looking for a summer beach read or filling out a young reader’s shelf, the Pemberton & District Public Library (PDPL) has got you covered.

The annual Friends of the Pemberton Library Book Sale is back on July 11, running from 10 a.m. ‘til 6 p.m. As in previous years, the event will be held outside BlueShore Financial at 7438 Prospect street.

“Browse loads of pre-loved books waiting for a new home and help support your library,” reads the PDPL's Facebook invite. “Every purchase goes directly to enhancing the programs and services at the [PDPL].”

Organizers have asked locals to drop off good-quality fiction and non-fiction books at the Library between July 2 and 8. They note magazines, journals and textbooks are a no-go for the sale.

The Friends behind the annual sale are a group of locals who gather to promote the library, fundraise for the PDPL’s programming and equipment and volunteer their time and talents. They’re behind some of the Library’s most popular amenities, including new seating in the children and teen areas, movie nights and author visits.

The event is cash-only. Check out the official event invite on Facebook.
