Whistler Transit is moving to spring service.

Need one more sign that spring has sprung?

Whistler Transit has announced that it’s returning to its regular seasonal service on April 6. For just under two weeks—until April 18—that will mean late winter service hours “in order to ease the transition … during the spring and fall,” according to a release.

“BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler work hard to match service with ridership demand, which is why we offer more service in the winter and summer and less in the spring and fall.”

However, the start of spring service—into summer and fall—means an increase on the route 10 Valley Express from winter levels.

On top of that, route 7 Staff Housing Complimentary Shuttle times—which Whistler Blackcomb sponsored from Nov. 12 to April 5—will end for the season. Regular fares for that route will apply.

Starting on April 18, route 4 Marketplace, 20 Cheakamus Express, and 32 Emerald (via Spruce Grove) will end for the season.

All other routes will be running on a reduced service level.
