Caileigh Koppang hasn't been racing for very long, but if the last few weeks are any indication, she could be a force on the regional circuit for years to come.

The 14-year-old Whistlerite won her second consecutive Phat Wednesdays race on June 14 in a time of three minutes, 23.70 seconds, fastest among girls aged 10-16. Ruby Wells claimed second (3:24.60) and Arleigh Kemp crossed the line in third (3:27.50). Meanwhile, Mhairi Smart's podium streak ended at three, as she fell to fourth place this time around (3:28.80).

In the boys' age 14-16 category, Mateo Quist of Squamish emerged on top (2:59.30). Not far behind were runner-up Ignacio Rojo (3:01.20) and third-place rider Mason Cruickshanks (3:05.80).

Meanwhile, Rebecca Beaton is back in action after winning another provincials banner with her teammates at Pemberton Secondary School (PSS). The Spud Valley native prevailed in the girls' age 17-and-up event (3:31.30) in a razor-close finish ahead of Emily Wright (3:31.40) and Julia Long (3:31.80).

A Spaniard crashed the party in the boys' 17-and-up contest. Alvaro Prada swooped in for gold (2:54.30), forcing Canadians Zac Eaton (2:54.70) and Braedyn Kozman (2:55.40) to settle for silver and bronze respectively.
