High school gymnasts get boost from donors

The Whistler Secondary Storm gymnastics team turned empty bottles into uniforms last Sunday with a successful bottle drive.

Over one day, the gymnasts collected more than $1,300 worth of bottles and cash donations at the Whistler Bottle Depot, enough to buy team uniforms and pay travel costs to the high school championships in March.

Thanks to all of the people who pitched in, and to all of the people at the bottle depot.

On another note, the Whistler Gymnastics Club is still looking for more coaches and substitute coaches. Experience coaching or a background in gymnastics is preferred, but the club will train promising candidates. Contact the club at 604-902-3547 for more information.
