Three young Sea to Sky gymnasts recently took part in Xcel Silver contest at the Carol Lenz Memorial Invitational in Surrey.

Elsa O'Malley went home with an all-around bronze medal. Her best individual performance was third on balance beam, while she placed fourth in vault and sixth in both floor and uneven bars.

O'Malley's teammate, McKinley Dowling, found herself 10th in the all-around. Dowling did manage to distinguish herself with a second-place floor effort.

Chelsea Roberts also competed in Surrey. Competing in a different group than her peers, she wound up ranked sixth in all-around including bronze medals in both vault and uneven bars.

Last month, three other Whistler Gymnastics members: Alexa Maxwell, Juno Buhler and Sadie Richer, qualified for provincials with top 10-or-better results at Langley's  Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational.
