Whistler gymnast Ruby McLatchie ties for fifth at BC Championships

Maya Langdale and Sadie Richer finished 15th and 19th respectively

Three Sea to Sky-area contestants recently took part in the 2024 BC Gymnastics Championships.

Ruby McLatchie earned the best result of the bunch: 35.075 points to tie for fifth with Myella Perena of the Delta Gymnastics Society. McLatchie's best individual performance came on vault, where she took bronze.

Fellow CCP Level 7 competitor Maya Langdale wound up 19th in a different group from McLatchie (32.550), an overall that included eighth on uneven bars.

Sadie Richer managed a 19th-place effort up at CCP Level 6 (32.625), but did stand out by tying for sixth in vault.

Next, Whistler Gymnastics athletes turn their attention to the Delta Invitational held from May 3 to 5 in the Richmond Olympic Oval. It's the only meet on the calendar to involve all 45 members of the club's artistic gymnastics division.
