A host of notable Sea to Sky results materialized at the B.C. Cup's latest stop in Whistler.
Tegan Cruz, who earned his first Crankworx breakthrough in late May, rose to the podium's top step again in the men's elite race (2:10.60). Jake Polito finished second (2:14.75) and Jon Mozell was third (2:16.55).
"Happy to keep the ball rolling this weekend, really great weekend riding and racing with everyone!" Cruz said on his Instagram account. "Feels really good to continue building and improving on not just my riding, but the mental side of it all as well. Onto the next, excited to be heading to [NW Cup] stop number 3 this weekend!"
To find the quickest time among female riders, look to the U17 expert/sport girls division where Arleigh Kemp emerged victorious (2:35.84). Runner-up Ruby Wells (2:36.10) and Cami Bragg in third (2:37.20) also bested elite women's champ Emmy Lan (2:41.35).
Megan Bedard rebounded from a subpar seeding run to clinch gold among U19 expert/sport ladies (2:48.54), with fellow locals Mhairi Smart (2:50.31) and Charlotte Gadbois Schuett (2:51.78) taking silver and bronze respectively.
"Happy to take the dub on this hard track! Congrats to all the ladies, you crushed it out there," wrote Bedard on social media. "Big thanks to the team this weekend!"
