Marcus Goguen signs autographs in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the premiere of Teton Gravity's 2023 film "Legend Has It."

Two local favourites are headed back to the big screen.

Marcus Goguen and his close friend Wei Tien Ho are already known as all-terrain threats on the bike and the skis, but their profile is growing thanks to Teton Gravity's 28th annual snow sports film, Legend Has It. Both Whistler boys join a solid cast that includes Canadian Olympian and four-time X Games medallist Megan Oldham as well as seven-time X Games medallist Maggie Voisin from the United States.

A promo for the film on the Teton Gravity website reads as follows: "Ski lore is riddled with stories, sometimes of unknown origin, describing plausible but extraordinary past events. Often shared on chairlifts, the skintrack, or over a beer, these legendary tales, whether it be mythical storm cycles, heroic feats, or whispers of fantastical terrain, all contribute and shape our present experience. For 28 years, Teton Gravity Research has been travelling the globe with the best athletes to the most incredible locations often based on this fabled history to uncover the experience…and sometimes creating legends of our own along the way."

Goguen is no stranger to these kinds of appearances. Last winter, he featured in Daymaker, a Warren Miller Entertainment production.

Ho added to his resume in July with a big win at the Canadian Open Enduro.

"What an awesome weekend this was! The best part of it all was meeting everyone who made the magic happen, thanks for all your hard work!" said Goguen on his Instagram account after the film's recent premiere in Jackson Hole.

Legend Has It screens on Oct. 12 at the Maury Young Arts Centre. Tickets and more information can be found here.
