Three riders take part in the Pemberton Valley Horse Association's Poker Ride on Sept. 14, 2024.

Since it's inception last year, the Pemberton Valley Horse Association (PVHA) has been getting active in educating and uniting local equestrians.

Organizers plan to host the spring's first Trail Day on May 22 at 6 p.m. Held in conjunction with the Pemberton Valley Trails Association (PVTA), this event at Mosquito Lake Trails is meant to connect members with one another while raising awareness of horses and giving back to the community.

Then on June 14, the PVHA is putting on its second annual paddock party at Thorley Farm: with live music, a silent auction, free pizza and games in the form of a hobby horse competition.

PVHA members will also be involved in the upcoming Canada Day parade on July 1.
