Whistler moguls skiers named to Canadian High Performance program

Sam Cordell, Maya Mikkelsen and Jessica Linton will join Olympic champion Mikael Kingsbury on the roster

Three Freestyle Whistler athletes are taking another step forward for the 2023-24 season.

Sam Cordell, Maya Mikkelsen and Jessica Linton will join all-time moguls legend Mikael Kingsbury in Freestyle Canada's High-Performance (HP) Moguls program.

Cordell won dual moguls bronze at the Canadian National Championships in late March, and was also active on the Nor-Am Cup circuit this season.

Mikkelsen, a newcomer to the Canadian HP squad, won two medals at the Canada Winter Games

Linton owns a bronze medal from the Nor-Am event on March 9 in Vermont.

There are a total of six athletes making their debut on Freestyle Canada's HP Moguls roster: Mikkelsen, Ashley Koehler, Charles Beaulieu, Jean-Christophe Bougie, Quinn Dawson and Joey Dubuc. Returning veterans outside of Kingsbury include Freestyle Whistler alum Maia Schwinghammer as well as Gabriel Dufresne, Berkley Brown and Elliot Vaillancourt.
