This Saturday, the Whistler Wolves Rugby Club looks to finish the 2022 season undefeated when it takes on the Point Grey Thunder in the club's last regular season game of the year.

"We've had a very strong season to date. Undefeated for the year, we sit equal first with one round to go of the regular season," said Wolves' president Blake Stewart. "With this being our last home game for the year, we are hoping to get a good crowd down to cheer on the boys for a good afternoon of rugby here in Whistler."

While this will be the first regular season meeting between the two teams, the Wolves and Thunder faced off twice in the pre-season 9s tournament. After a draw in the group stages, the two teams faced off again in the finals where the Thunder claimed a narrow victory, leading Stewart to believe spectators might be in store for another tight match this weekend.

With the Wolves currently tied for first place, this weekend's match will also be an important one for seeding heading into the single-elimination playoffs, which start next week.

The game kicks off at 2 p.m. at Whistler Secondary School, with post-game drinks hosted by team sponsor Tapley's starting at 6:30.
