Whistlerites in motion: Crawford, Molinaro win medals at home and abroad

Welcome to your weekly recap of Sea to Sky athletes and their exploits. Area contenders of all ages are continuing to make their mark at home and abroad. 

Jack Crawford has earned the third World Cup downhill medal of his career in Aspen, Colo. 

Former Pembertonian and Whistlerite Marlie Molinaro won two medals at the Canada Winter Games in Brookvale, P.E.I: individual bronze in the women's 10-kilometre skate-ski race and mixed relay gold in the 4x5-kilometre event for Team BC. 

On April 10, the World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF) is returning to Whistler.

The Sea to Sky Bears have qualified three minor hockey teams into playoff contention.

Simon d'Artois came within one point of World Championships bronze in the Bakuriani, Georgia halfpipe.

Don't forget to keep up with what's happening at the Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC).

Last but certainly not least, a 13-year-old Whistler boy and his father have embarked on a 45-kilometre ski touring route along the iconic Spearhead Traverse.
