After more than 100 hours of racing, the final of the XPD adventure race in Australia was secured by a communications error. In last week’s Pique we said Team DART-nuun, which has Sea to Sky racer Jen Segger-Gigg on its roster, placed third.

Although it has been in use for more than a month now, the new PacificSport Performance Centre in the Whistler Mountain Ski Club (WMSC) will be hosting a public open house Saturday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m.

Bike, run and adventure races throughout September

Squamish’s Jen Segger-Gigg and her teammates from Team DART-nuun placed third overall at XPD 2007 last week, the largest and toughest adventure race in the world this year.

The newly completed lower section of Crank It Up was featured in the fifth Phat Wednesday downhill series race of the season on Aug. 22, with a field of 135 riders taking part.
