The Whistler Women’s Volleyball League is currently up and bumping, playing pick-up games until regular league play starts on Oct. 21. The season runs on Monday nights from Sept. 30 to Dec.

Canadian snowboard enthusiasts will get their fill of World Cup action this season, with CBC committing to cover European events as well as the events in Whistler and Mont-Ste-Anne.

If all goes well, the FIS will add another snowboard event to the schedule for the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006.
