Almost a dozen local athletes from Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton are taking part in this year’s Subaru Ironman Canada Triathlon in Pentiction on Aug. 26.

For the first seven years, the annual Westside Wheel Up bike race was just that – a bike race, by locals for locals.
