Olympics relatively quiet for RCMP

Staff Sergeant Steve LeClair attributed Whistler's relatively tame Olympic Games to a high police presence and visitor demographics. Two days before the closing ceremonies, LeClair said almost all arrests made were for intoxication in public.

Busier March, slower April forecasted

Tourism Whistler is estimating that room nights will be up six per cent for the winter of 2009-2010, with the resort almost at capacity through much of the Olympic month of February and strong bookings through most of March.
