SPOKANE — Shea Van Olm scored three goals, Berkly Catton had two goals and five assists, and the Spokane Chiefs eliminated the visiting Vancouver Giants from the Western Hockey League playoffs with an 9-4 victory on Saturday.

BRANTFORD — Nick Lardis scored three goals, Calvin Crombie had a goal and assist, and the Brantford Bulldogs eliminated the North Bay Battalion from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs with a 5-1 victory on Saturday at Brantford Civic Centre.

MEDICINE HAT — Ryder Ritchie scored the game-winning goal at 13:44 in the second period as the Medicine Hat Tigers edged the Broncos 3-2 on Friday to advance to the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs.

SYDNEY — Jakub Milota made a jaw-dropping 84 saves in the second-longest playoff game in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League history to keep the Cape Breton Eagles' season alive Friday.

WINDSOR — Liam Greentree had three goals and two assists to lift the Windsor Spitfires past the Soo Greyhounds 8-4 and into the second round of the Ontario Hockey League playoffs Friday.
