The snow is disappearing rapidly from Blackcomb Mountain's slopes, but there are still three days left to ski or ride this spring.

Welcome to the one weekend of the year where outdoor enthusiasts in Whistler can hop on a gondola to go skiing, snowboarding and downhill biking all in the same day.

While the Whistler Mountain Bike Park opened for the season Friday, there are still three more days to ski or ride on Blackcomb before its lifts stop spinning on Victoria Day Monday, May 22. Even better? It appears Mother Nature will mostly cooperate with long weekend revellers looking make the most of those offerings.

After a week of July-worthy temperatures and clear, sunny skies, Saturday's forecast is calling for a high of 26 degrees C in Whistler and a mix of sun and cloud. Temperatures will feel closer to 30 C in Pemberton. Environment Canada is also forecasting a 30-per-cent chance of showers late in the afternoon.

Temperatures will cool off slightly on Sunday, when the high drops down to 20 C in Whistler. Otherwise, the forecast looks similar to Saturday's, with sun, cloud and a 30 per cent chance of showers throughout the day.

If you're planning on heading uphill for a few last laps on Victoria Day, you might want to incorporate a sweater or jacket into your Gaper Day look. Meteorologists anticipate a high of 17 C in the valley on Monday, with a mix of sun and cloud, plus a 40 percent chance of showers. At higher elevations, temperatures will max out at around 8 C. Whistler Blackcomb's weather forecast calls for mainly cloudy conditions and isolated showers at 1850 metres, or the Rendezvous Lodge elevation.
