Andréane Lanthier Nadeau won the ladies' national title at the 2025 Canadian Downhill (DH) Mountain Bike Championships in Sun Peaks, B.C.

Branching out from her primary discipline of enduro, Andréane Lanthier Nadeau found the speed for silver at last weekend's Canadian Downhill (DH) Mountain Bike Championships in Sun Peaks.

Nadeau's time of five minutes and 21.558 seconds put her between gold medallist Mille Johnset (5:17.671) and Emmy Lan, who took bronze (5:21.597). Johnset hails from Norway, which means Nadeau got to don the red maple leaf sleeve as this year's national DH titleholder among elite women.

"Wanted to race without pressure and feel good on a sick trail, didn't think the sleeve was the cards. Nice treat!" said Nadeau on her Instagram account. "Future of Canadian women's downhill is bright...and I'm stoked to just be among it and enjoy pushing myself on the track! Congrats to all the racers and huge thank you to [Stephen Exley]."

Jack McCredie topped the U19 expert men's race (4:36.068), followed by Ryder Wilson in second (4:38.233) and Mateo Quist in third (4:38.424).
