Georgia Astle and Jake Polito both reached the air DH podium on Tuesday, adding to Whistler's Crankworx medal haul. The Ultimate Pump Track Challenge takes place tonight, leaving dual slalom for Thursday.
Plenty of talent waits in the wings, including Queen of Crankworx frontrunner Caroline Buchanan. In order to earn more hardware, she'll have to best the likes of Martha Gill, Harriet Burbage-Smith and Jordy Scott. Gill has been making a name for herself on the slalom course this season, but Scott is eager to shake things up affter a shoulder injury kept her out of action for most of the year.
Bas van Steenbergen fell out of top spot in the King of Crankworx rankings after Tuhoto-Ariki Pene won air DH bronze, and he'll be looking to collect some valuable points to retake the lead. Pene, of course, will have something to say about that, as will Rotorua dual slalom champ Jackson Frew and Ryan Gilchrist, who prevailed in Cairns.
