Whistler Gymnastics has officially received a $56,000 grant from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, which has made possible the establishment of a dedicated facility in Pemberton’s Industrial Park.
The new location and its staff aim to deliver inclusive, high-quality programming for children, youth, and families in Pemberton, while the funding represents a key step forward in expanding access to movement-based programs across the Sea to Sky corridor.
"We are deeply grateful to the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation for their investment in the health and development of our youth," said Catou Tyler, Program and Operations Manager for Whistler Gymnastics Pemberton, in a press release. "Their support is helping us break down barriers to participation and create opportunities for more children to experience the many benefits of gymnastics—physically, socially, and emotionally."
The Pemberton facility offers a welcoming and developmentally supportive environment for recreational and competitive gymnastics, early childhood movement programs and community events. A release notes that "with a strong emphasis on safety, inclusion, and skill-building, Whistler Gymnastics is dedicated to fostering lifelong engagement in sport and active living."
The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation is known to support initiatives that improve community wellness throughout the Sea to Sky.
Having just completed its first full season, Whistler Gymnastics Pemberton is now gearing up to offer a full lineup of summer camps and programs.
