The top snowboarders from across B.C. converged at Big White this past weekend for the final event of the B.C. Snowboard Series, taking part in slopestyle, halfpipe and snowboardcross events.

Whistler’s Britt Janyk won the Senior Female Athlete of the Year award presented by Sport B.C. and sponsored by CTV on Wednesday night, edging out a list of nominees that included freestyle skier Kristi Richards.

The Whistler Gymnastics Club attended its first official meet of the season this past weekend, hosted by the Surrey Gymnastics Society, and earned medals in several categories against a large field of competitors from clubs across the Lower Mainland.
