Maxed Out

Owing to the design of the house in which I live up in Rainbow—maximum floor area in minimum footprint—I have what can generously be called an unusual plumbing layout. Tortured is probably a better adjective.

I come in praise of the Vailborg. Seriously. Well, mostly seriously. Let's be honest, for just a minute; it won't hurt. Much. Our new corporate overlords have done some good things this season.

As the Campagne de Fous limps into its third week, I take heart, in a very uneasy way, in Doug Ford's "victory" to become the head of Ontario's Progressive Conservative — oxymoron alert! — Party. Doug is a buffoon.

Careful readers will have noticed I kicked off the Campagne de Fous last week, my perennial and thus far unsuccessful run for mayor of Tiny Town.

It's party time! Yea! I know, it's always party time in Tiny Town. But that's not the kind of party I mean.

There have been a number of times since late 2015 when I've thought Justin Trudeau and his team have acted unwisely. Some times even dishonestly.

The Social Contract; rules of etiquette; the Golden Rule; stop on the red/go on the green; get off the elevator before others get on; if you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding; all have two things in common.

Discrimination can be a slippery concept.

I don't understand people who can't be bothered to read local papers, especially free papers. Or national papers. Or news from other countries and around the world. I don't understand the terminally incurious.
