What kind of idiot grants a cutting permit in one of our last, intact groves of old-growth forest? Let them log second growth.
Despite the injunction against blocking the roads, I hope the protesters win [protesters have been onsite at Fairy Creek on Vancouver Island since mid-August]. I hope the protest will grow and grow until the permit is rescinded.
Old growth forest should never be cut. Never.
