It started with rumours and ended with a series of noise complaints.

The Internet was abuzz early this week as news of a celebrity-studded wedding in Whistler leaked out.

The wedding was that of Scooter Braun - the longtime manager of Canadian pop idol Justin Bieber - to Yael Cohen, founder of the Vancouver-based charity Fuck Cancer.

Whistler RCMP reported a number of noise complaints from homeowners in the area of Crabapple Dr. on Sunday night, where the wedding took place.

Among those reportedly in attendance were actor Tom Hanks, singer Carly Rae Jepsen and Bieber himself.

The music was reportedly shut down around 2 a.m. Monday morning.

Members of the Whistler RCMP were also kept busy with other calls last week, including at least four other noise complaints and several reports of theft.

On July 2, a vehicle parked in a secured parkade at the Symphony Condos had its back passenger window broken and a number of items taken.

On July 2 and 3, three Creekside residences were broken into and items of value taken.

Investigations are ongoing.

On July 4, a 26-year-old male was arrested for the theft of a number of Whistler Blackcomb gift cards from the organization's administration office.

Other calls and arrests were related to public intoxication and drug possession.
