If your New Year’s resolution to is do some more fundraising for charitable causes, now’s the time to sign up.
Teams and individuals planning to take part in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life event can register early online at a discounted price.
The early bird discount, which lasts until Dec. 31, gives participants a $15 savings off the usual $25 registration fee.
Relay For Life is an annual event where participants take turns walking laps around a track for 12 hours at Brennan Park in Squamish. It is a time to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against all cancers. Since 1999, the event has raised more than $174 million in the fight against cancer.
Last year the B.C. and the Yukon division raised more than $6.6 million for the Canadian Cancer Society.
