Compagnie des Alpes CDA’s eight subsidiary companies equip, maintain and operate some of the largest ski areas in the French and Italian Alps. CDA derives most of its revenues from lift operations. The company controls 22 per cent of the French ski market. Intrawest has since purchased Mountain Creek at Vernon and increased its stake in Mammoth Mountain from 33 per cent to 58 per cent. Intrawest Resorts include: Whistler/Blackcomb, B.C.; Panorama, B.C.; Mont Tremblant, Que.; Mont Ste. Marie, Que.; Copper, Colo.; Stratton, Vt.; Snowshoe, WVa.; Mountain Creek at Vernon, NJ.; Mammoth, Calif. Intrawest is also creating resort villages at Keystone, Colo. and Squaw Valley, Calif. With the acquisition of Raven Golf Group and Sandestin, Fla. Intrawest will own and/or operate 12 golf courses, with five more under construction.
