The company controls 22 per cent of the French ski market. Ski areas owned by CDA’s companies include: Resort CDA percentage ownership Annual skier visits La Plagne 77.4 2.4 million Tignes 56.9 1.4 million Les Arcs 84.6 1.4 million Les Menuires 77.1 1.2 million Les Grands Montets 62.5 395,000 Meribel Alpina 37.3 864,000 Peisey Vallandry 100 268,000 Courmayeur 55 435,000 Flaine, Samoens, Morillon, Sixt (four resorts in Grand Massif) combined have approximately 2 million skier visits Intrawest Intrawest’s resorts had 5.2 million skier visits in 1996-97. Intrawest has since purchased Mountain Creek at Vernon and increased its stake in Mammoth Mountain from 33 per cent to 58 per cent. Intrawest Resorts include: Whistler/Blackcomb, B.C.; Panorama, B.C.; Mont Tremblant, Que.; Mont Ste. Marie, Que.; Copper, Colo.; Stratton, Vt.; Snowshoe, WVa.; Mountain Creek at Vernon, NJ.; Mammoth, Calif. Intrawest is also creating resort villages at Keystone, Colo. and Squaw Valley, Calif. With the acquisition of Raven Golf Group and Sandestin, Fla. Intrawest will own and/or operate 12 golf courses, with five more under construction.
