The Resort Municipality of Whistler's new website is up and running with upgrades to the design, navigations, the mobile website and more.

Residents are being asked for feedback on it by filling out a survey at

www.surveymonkey.com/s/WPP878X.

"Whistler.ca is the virtual front desk of the RMOW and the ongoing developments to the website are one element of the customer service focus outlined in the RMOW's Corporate Plan," said Whistler Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden.

"The updates reflect the needs of our residents, businesses and visitors to access information easily and efficiently and for the organization to be transparent and accountable."

The work was undertaken to streamline and improve the overall user experience, to reflect changes to online technology, add additional features and content, and introduce a new mobile site.

The first major overhaul of the site was completed in September 2011 at a cost of $74,859.

The budget for the 2013 update was $48,000.

The 2013 work was contracted through company Graphically Speaking following an RFP process in late 2012.

Currently there are 114,565 page views per month with a 2014 target to grow that to 150,000. There are 16 pages with more than 1,000 page views per month. The 2014 target is to grow that to 30.
