For the third year running Metropolis at Metrotown is holding a public service announcement (PSA) film contest for high school and post-secondary students across the province.
Students are invited to submit a 30 second announcement addressing a safety issue at their school or in their community. The entries will be pared down to 10 finalists on April 20. After that a panel of judges, including broadcast professionals, community members and student peers, will choose the winning film, which will air across the province on Global Television. The winner will also receive a $2,500 scholarship towards post-secondary education.
The deadline for submissions is March 27 at 5 p.m., and details are available at www.metropolisatmetrotown.com. The contest is open to all students under the age of 25 currently enrolled in college, university, trade or technical schools, or a post secondary school anywhere in the province.
