LUMPY’S EPIC>>

The annual low-key locals run in Pemberton will take place on Sat. Oct. 23. It’s 12 kms of technical single-track but you can walk it, hike it or run it. Run starts at 10 a.m. Register between 9 and 9:30 a.m. at One Mile lake. Cost is $15. The money raised goes to support the Pemberton Spud Valley Nordics.

HALLOWEEN PERFORMANCE CLASS>>

Check out the performance at Jana Marie Dupuis Music Studio on Sun. Oct. 24 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. All students will perform two pieces each by memory.

BEST IN CANADIAN STANDUP COMEDY>>

Catch the tour on Sun. Oct. 24 at MY Place. The three headlining acts are Jeff Rothpan, Tim Rykert and Jamie Hutchinson. There will be two shows, 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are $23. Call 604-935-8410.

HELLISH HALLOWEEN BASH>>

For high school students only, the Hellish Halloween Bash takes place from 9 p.m. to midnight on Fri. Oct. 29 at the Spruce Grove Field House. Costumes are mandatory. Mocktails and snack bars. Tickets are $12. For more info call 604-935-8187.

DRESS-UP STORY>>

A Halloween dress-up story time for 3 to 6 year olds will be held on Sat. Oct. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required. For details call the library at 604-932-5564.

3 rd ANNUAL B-GRADE HORROR FEST>>

Short-film entries from student, amateur and professional filmmakers are sure to get the shivers running up and down the spine at the 3 rd annual B-Grade Horror Fest. The evening begins at 8 p.m. at MY Place on Sat. Oct. 30. Tickets are $15. For more info call 604-902-2666.

SHIP WRECK SLIDESHOW>>

The Whistler Museum presents James Delgado, co-host of the TV series Sea Hunter and executive director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum, for a slide show about shipwrecks. The show takes place on Wed. Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Myrtle Philip Community Centre. Admission is free.
