Tapley’s readying to host howling good Halloween.

It’s that ghoulishly exciting time of the year again, Halloween.

And all the witches, warlocks, demons and devils are invited to scare up a good time at Tapley’s Farm again this year.

It’s the 18 th year the residents of the spooky subdivision have hosted local trick-or-treaters and, as the event gets more and more popular, more and more treats are required.

This year candy donations are being accepted at Myrtle Philip School, Spring Creek School, Whistler Children’s Centre, Spring Creek Children’s Centre and 6318 Easy Street until Oct. 29 th .

Kids are welcome to gather their treats from dusk until about 7:30 p.m. with fireworks at Myrtle Philip afterwards.

Please remember that there is no parking on Lorimer Road.

Thanks to WAVE, FastPark, the RMOW and the Marketplace Merchants, there will be a free shuttle running from Marketplace to Tapley’s farm from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., every 10 minutes. The two-hour parking limit at Marketplace will not be in effect for this event.

Many of the 100 or so homes participate in a "best decorated house contest". The Just family will be defending the title this year.

"The House of Golden Screams" ran away with the prize last year.

Each household will give away candy to 600-800 gouls, goblins, fairies and other treat or treaters.
