AMBASSADORS NEEDED.
The ninth annual Sierra Wireless, Air Canada Whistler Cup is an international juvenile ski race that attracts more than 300 skiers from 20 countries. Organizers are looking for volunteers as ambassadors April 4-9 to meet and greet the racers at the hotel, tour the village, accreditation office and attend the coaches meeting if required. Come out every Tuesday night between 6 and 8 p.m. for free tips on Classic and Skate cross-country technique. A one time $5 seasonal membership to our local ski club Whistler Nordics is all you pay for the instruction. Rentals and trail passes are available at evening rates.
Thursday is a fun time trial focusing on mere participation. It's the Loonie Races winter style! Bring a friend and join in the Apres. Draw prizes and a big bash at the end of the season.
