Whistler RCMP request public's assistance to locate missing person

Whistler RCMP is seeking the public's help in locating missing person Marcus Kissner.

According to a release, Whistler RCMP's assistance was requested yesterday, Oct. 2, at approximately 2 p.m. to locate Marcus Kissner, due to concerns for his wellbeing.

Police say despite using all resources to find Kissner within the past 24 hours, they have been unable to do so and are now reaching out to the public to assist in their search. Kissner was last heard from yesterday at 9 a.m. and was in the Emerald Drive area of Whistler.

The missing person is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 5'6 (152cm) tall and weighing about 175lbs (80kg). Police say Kissner may be wearing a black baseball cap, windbreaker and dark jeans, and possibly a VIP Limousine jacket as well.

Kissner is known to hike the trails above Emerald and One Duck Lake. Police ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to call Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044 or contact your local police agency.
