After closing to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Whistler RCMP and other police detachments across the Sea to Sky will be resuming front-counter service next week, according to a release.

Starting Monday, July 13, the Whistler RCMP detachment will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Those seeking police assistance are still encouraged to phone in complaints (604-932-3044 in Whistler and 604-894-6634 in Pemberton) when possible in order to limit attendance and maintain physical distancing.

RCMP detachments in Pemberton, Squamish and Bowen Island will also be reopening for counter service next week. The Pemberton detachment will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Those in quarantine, have been exposed to or are showing symptoms of COVID-19 are asked not to attend the offices. Signage will also be posted on the doors of each detachment with occupancy limits.

The RCMP is not offering fingerprinting services for the time being.
