A portable at Whistler Secondary School is being transformed into a temporary Youth Centre. Several youth will be involved with the operation, to clean, operate and maintain the facility, but more help is needed. The Youth Centre will initially be open Thursday through Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and if demand warrants it, additional times will be created. Drop-in visitors are welcome. On scheduled nights there will be set activities including movie showings, pool tournaments and other programs. RMOW youth programmer, Simon Hudson, is seeking donations or offers of assistance from businesses or individuals. For more information, or to help, call 938-3133 ext. 350.
