There will be 15 candidates for the six seats on Whistler council, six contestants for the mayor’s job and three people challenging for two Whistler seats on the Howe Sound School Board when Whistlerites go to the polls Nov. 16.

Intrawest hopes to complete the 16 partially finished Taluswood units by Christmas and then reassess the situation, including the unpaid contractors, a company spokesman says.

Frustrated by the lack of progress being made on affordable housing, members of the Whistler Valley Housing Society board have passed a motion urging the municipality to immediately process any rezoning applications for employee housing, rather than
