Best Artist/Artisan: Chili Thom Whistler is still reeling from the loss of painter, DJ and filmmaker Chili Thom, who passed away after a yearlong fight against cancer on Nov. 30.

Best Après: Garibaldi Lift Company Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC) won the Best Après accolades this year, which links in with its win as best venue to see live performances.

Best Coffee: Mount Currie Coffee Co. There are plenty of places to grab a great cup of joe in Whistler, but there can only be one undisputed King of Coffee. For the past three years, that's been Mount Currie Coffee Co.

Best spa/best massage facility: Scandinave Spa Is there anything those Scandinavians don't do just a little bit better than everyone else? They've certainly got the spa and massage game nailed down.

Favourite summer athlete: Brandon Semenuk Whistler's king of summer reigned supreme again in 2016.

Best Bike Tech: James Barrett, The Fix "It's good to be back!" James Barrett says when notified of his 2016 win. Barrett last enjoyed the top honour as Best Bike Tech in 2012, and immediately put it into perspective.
